Joseph Holt8 Whitney (Zachariah7, Zachariah6, Zachariah5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Zachariah7 and Sally (Holt) Whitney, was born 7 Aug 1808, Lunenburg, MA, and died 23 May 1885, Leominster, MA, aged 76 years 8 months 15 days, of pneumonia.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 26 Feb 1831, Lunenburg, MA, for him "of Lunenburg" and Eliza Derby.[2] He "of Lunenburg" married 24 Mar 1831, Leominster or Lunenburg, MA, Eliza Derby "of Leominster",[3] daughter of Simon and Lydia (-----) Derby. She was born 8 Apr 1812, Leominster, MA, and died 19 Apr 1871 or 14 Apr 1871, Leominster, MA, aged 59 years 10 days, of dropsy.[4]

He resided Leominster, MA.

iv. Charles J. Whitney, b. 3 May 1844; d. 25 Feb 1874 [Pierce] or 10 Jan 1872, Leominster, MA, aged 27 years 8 months 7 days.[6]
