Family:Whitney, Isaiah (1815-1867)

Isaiah7 Whitney (Cyrus6, Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Cyrus6 and Polly (Whitney) Whitney, was born 22 Sep 1815, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 30 Jun 1867, Harvard, MA, aged 51 years, drowned.[2]

He married, 1 Jan 1841, Mary Ann Gove, daughter of Johnson and Laura (Seers) Gove. She was born 9 Jul 1822, Troy, NY, and died 14 Jul 1889 [Pierce] or 13 Jul 1889, Harvard, MA, aged 67 years 4 days, of heart disease.[3]

Isaiah was reared on the old homestead in Harvard. Before his marriage he went to Albany, NY, as clerk for his older brother, James Fordyce. While there, he met his wife. After a residence of several years in Albany he returned to Harvard and to farming on the old homestead, where he passed the remainder of his life. He resided Harvard, MA and Redbank, NJ.

a. Alfred R. Hussey, b. 26 Aug 1864, Hudson, MA; ad. 211 Randolph Street, Chicago, IL; m. 27 Sep 1904, Harvard, MA [also recorded at Hudson, MA], Carrie W. (Wright) Whitney, his uncle's widow.
b. Mary Ella Hussey, b. 30 Mar 1870; d. 1873.
c. Richard Earle Hussey, b. Oct 1874; d. 1875.
ii. Harry Melville Whitney, b. 1 Jan 1845,[6] Albany, NY; m. Carrie W. Wright.
