Harry Melville8 Whitney (Isaiah7, Cyrus6, Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Isaiah7 and Mary A. (Gove) Whitney, was born 1 Jan 1845,[1] Albany, NY, and died 29 Jun 1902, Harvard, MA, aged 57 years 5 months 9 days, of suicide by hanging.[2]

He married, 1 Jan 1887, Harvard, MA, Carrie W. Wright, daughter of Isaac F. and Nancy W. (-----) Wright.[3] She was born 7 Nov 1867, Harvard, MA. She m.(2) 27 Sep 1904, Harvard, MA [also recorded at Hudson, MA], Alfred R. Hussey, b. 26 Aug 1864, Hudson, MA, son of Charles A. and Emily Lucy8 (Whitney) Hussey,[4] her husband's nephew.

According to Pierce, they had no children, contrary to records below.

They resided Harvard, MA.
