William Knowlton7 Whitney (John Smith6, Thomas5, Thomas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of John Smith6 and Susanna (Knowlton) Whitney, was born 5 Apr 1795, Westborough, MA,[1] and died 30 Sep 1868, Athol, MA, aged 73 years 5 months, of consumption, laborer.[2]

He married firstly, 8 Jul 1813, Dana, MA, Deborah Woodward[3]. She was born 9 Apr 1787, and died 12 Sep 1841, Petersham, MA, aged 54 years.[4]

He married secondly, 3 Apr 1843, Athol, MA, Mary Ann Billings.[5] She was born about 19 Aug 1809, Hatfield, MA, and died 23 Dec 1897, Athol, MA, aged 88 years 4 months 4 days, of pneumonia.[6]

He resided Dana, MA.
