Levi S.8 Whitney (Joel7, Elijah6, Thomas5, Thomas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Joel7 and Abial (Nason) Whitney, was born about 19 Aug 1816, Westborough, MA, and died 20 Sep 1893, Webster, MA, aged 77 years 1 month 1 day, of cystitis, laborer.[1]

He married, 9 Oct 1836, Northbridge, MA, Sarah Eddy Knapp, "both of Sutton",[2] daughter of Joel and Sybil (Croney) Knapp. She was born about 2 Oct 1811, Sutton, MA,[3] and died 15 Sep 1901, Webster, MA, aged 82 years, of hear disease.[4]

iii. Mary L. Whitney, b. ca. 1843, MA; d. 9 Dec 1901, Webster, MA, aged 59 years, of apoplexy;[8] unmarried.
