Horace7 Whitney (Moses6, Abraham5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Moses6 and Jane (Polley) Whitney, was born about 4 Feb 1816, Watertown, MA, and died 4 Dec 1892, Natick, MA, aged 76 years 10 months, of Bright's disease.[1]

He "of Watertown" married, 8 Oct 1838, Newton, MA, Sarah Ann Porter.[2] She was born about 1818 (by census) or about 19 Oct 1824 (by age at death), ME, and died 28 Dec 1894, Clinton, MA, aged 70 years 2 months 9 days, born "Ridgeton", ME.[3]

He resided Clinton, MA.

iii. Sarah A/E. Whitney, b. 17 Nov 1844, Dorchester, MA;[5] of Newton, m. 11 May 1872, Natick, MA, or 1 May 1872, Newton, MA, Benjamin F. Langdon/Langley, of Natick, b. ca. 1845, Troy, NH, son of Thomas and Margaret (Grey) Langley.[6]
iv. (child) Whitney, b. say 1847, d. 11 Mar 1849, Lancaster, MA.[7]
v. Mary Ann Whitney, b. 1 Apr 1850, Clinton, MA;[8] d. aft. 1870, then unmarried.
vi. Ardella Whitney, b. ca. 1852, Sterling, MA; m. 13 Oct 1870, Boston, MA [or Newton, MA], Henry C. Richardson, both of Newton, b. ca. 1848, Milford, MA, son of Martin C. and Pheloxy M. (-----) Richardson.[9]
vii. Harriet A. Whitney, b. ca. 1857, Sterling, MA; "Hattie" m. 20 Jan 1876, Clinton, MA, and Lunenburg, MA, Albert E. Jewett, both of Clinton, b. ca. 1853, Clinton, MA, son of Theodore and Esther L. (-----) Jewett/Jewell.[10]
