Charles L.8 Whitney (Ezra7, James6, Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Ezra7 and Lucy (Waters) Whitney, was born 20 Mar 1823, Woodstock, CT, and died 1 Nov 1874, Shrewsbury, MA, aged 57 years 6 months 11 days, of typhoid fever, carriage maker, married.[1]

He married, 21 Mar 1847, Stafford, CT, Sarah E. Harvey "both of Stafford",[2] daughter of Paul and Margaret (Fitch) Harvey. She was born about 1827, Stafford, CT, and died 9 Aug 1900, Shrewsbury, MA, aged 73 years, of pernicious anaemia.[3]

He was a wheelwright and painter.

ii. Albert E. Whitney, b. ca. 1850, MA, probably the "Everett Eugene" b. 12 Apr 1850, Shrewsbury, MA;[6] m. Harriet Amelia Stowe.
iii. Louella Frances Whitney, b. 3 Sep 1858, Shrewsbury, MA;[7] d. 10 Apr 1873, Shrewsbury, MA, aged 14 years 7 months 7 days, of scarlet fever.[8]
