He married, 18 May 1853, Medway, MA, Isabella Smith, daughter of Jason and Lucy (-----) Smith.[1] She was born about 1838, Holliston, MA, and died after 1865. She "Bell Smith Whitney" married secondly, 29 Jul 1875, Medway, MA, Joseph Rection, son of Joseph and Eliza R. (-----) Recton.[2] He was born about 1842, Delhi, NH.
