Calvin H. Whitney (Michael Lunt, Benjamin, James, [poss.] Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Michael Lunt and Betsey A. (Humphrey) Whitney, was born 16 Sep 1850, North Yarmouth, ME,[1] and died 10 Oct 1902, Worcester Insane Hospital, Worcester, MA [also recorded at Somerville, MA], aged 52 years, of melancolia and enteritis.[2] He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA.
He married, 19 Apr 1877, Boston, MA, Jennie A. Simpson, daughter of John C. and Esther E. (-----) Simpson,[3] She was born about 1858, Warner, NH, and died 9 Aug 1903, 68 Gilman St., Somerville, MA, aged 44 year 11 months, of ulcerative colitis.[4]
He was a cracker dealer and merchant, living at 71 Rush St., Somerville, MA.

Whitney, b. 27 Oct 1881, Somerville, MA;[6] m. 6 Apr 1908, Melrose, MA, Gertrude Burrell, b. ca. 1881, South Boston, MA, dau. of Adoniram J. and Lydia A. (Phillips) Burrell.[7] iii. Arthur S. Whitney, b. 1 Dec 1884, Somerville, MA;[8] d. 15 Jul 1886, Somerville, MA, aged 1 year 8 months 15 days, of bronchitis and inflammation of the bowels.[9] iv. Mildred Esther Whitney, b. 11 Feb 1894, Somerville, MA;[10] d. 26 Feb 1894, Somerville, MA, aged 14 days, of premature birth.[11]
