Amasa6 Whitney (Ezekiel5, (John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Ezekiel5 and Katherine (Draper) Whitney, was born 4 May 1774, Watertown, MA, and died 17 Oct 1824, Newton, MA.[1]

He married, 5 Oct 1794, Newton, MA, Abigail Blanden,[2] daughter of Francis and Abigail (Tozer) Blanden. She was born 19 Dec 1764, Newton, MA, and died 10 Feb 1852, Newton, MA, aged 86, of old age.[3]

iii. Mary Whitney, b. 3 Apr 1798.[8] She was probably the Mary May Whitney, b. 4 Apr 1798, who was baptized privately 6 Dec 1838, Hollis Streeet Church, Boston, MA.[9]
iv. Catherine Whitney, b. 5 May 1800.[10]
v. Amasa Whitney, b. 6 May 1802;[11] m. Sarah Evans.
vi. Caroline J. Whitney, b. 31 May 1804;[12] m. 13 Jul 1823, Dedham, MA, Edward Glover,[13] b. 10 Oct 1785, Needham, MA, son of Henry and Rebecca (Colburn) Glover.
