Alfred Wilder9 Whitney (Charles Wilder8, Samuel7, Silas6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Charles Wilder8 and Elmira M. (Wilder)(Richardson) Whitney, was born 15 Jun 1867, Ashburnham, MA,[1] and died 1 Jun 1940, Portland, ME.

He married firstly, 19 Jun 1888, Chelsea, MA, Emma J. Bont,[2] daughter of Daniel and Sarah Emma (Norton) Bont. She was born about 1864, Suffield, CT, and died 29 Apr 1906, Westborough Insane Hospital, Westborough, MA [also recorded in Chelsea, MA], aged 45 years, of pulmonary tuberculosis; divorced.[3]

He married secondly, 6 May 1900, Chelsea, MA [recorded Portland, ME], Gertrude F. Ripley, daughter of Charles and Ellen (-----) Ripley. She was born about 1867, Charlestown, MA.
