Matthias Farnsworth (Elizabeth³ Whitney, Joshua², John¹), son of Ebenezer and Elizabeth³ (Whitney) Farnsworth, was born 20 Sep 1709, Groton, MA, and died unknown.

He married firstly, 24 Feb 1729/30, Groton, MA, Abigail Shed, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Bowers) Shed. She was born 7 Nov 1708, Groton, MA, and died 11 May 1762, Groton, MA, at age 53.

He married secondly, 16 Feb 1769, Groton, MA, Sarah (Davis) Farnsworth, daughter of Ebenezer and Sarah (French) Davis. She was born 14 Jul 1723, Concord, MA. She married firstly, 14 May 1742, Harvard, MA, John Farnsworth, son of Jonathan and Ruth (-----) Farnsworth.

He married thirdly, 21 Feb 1776, Groton, MA, Azubah Farnsworth, daughter of Phineas and Azubah (Burt) Farnsworth. She was born 15 Jan 1730/1, Harvard, MA, and died 1796.

vii.	Samuel Farnsworth, b. 4 Feb 1742.
viii.	Samson Farnsworth, b. 12 Mar 1745; m. Rachel Shattuck.
ix.	Elizabeth Farnsworth, b. 25 Jun 1747; m.(1) ----- Hanson; m.(2) ----- Russell.

Matthias and Sarah (Davis)(Farnsworth) Farnsworth had no children.

Matthias and Azubah (Farnsworth) Farnsworth had no children.
