George W.9 Whitney (Nathaniel B.8, Jonathan7, Jonathan6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Nathaniel B.8 and Susan (Edwards) Whitney, was born 6 May 1856, Westford, MA,[1] and died after 1920.

He married, 15 May 1880, Westford, MA, or Chelmsford, MA [recorded Lowell, MA], Mary Emma Read, daughter of George and Jane (-----) Read.[2] She was born about 1857, St. John, NB. or Charleston, ME.

Children of George W.9 and Mary Emma (Read) Whitney:

i. Eva J.10 Whitney, b. 8 Sep 1884, Lowell, MA;[3] d. after 1920; m. 15 Jun 1910, Lowell, MA, Sidney C. Barton, b. ca. 1886, Lowell, MA, son of Cyrus and Marion C. (Griffin) Barton.[4]
