Aug. 1869, at Janesville, Wis., George Washington Blanchard. They were living at Waterloo in March 1875.
2328 VII. Harriet Newell Whitney, b. in Antwerp, N. Y., 25 July 1835; died of consumption, 20 June 1841, at Antwerp, and was buried there.
2329 VIII. Hiram Banister Whitney1, b. in Antwerp, N. Y., 21 Ap. 1838; a grocer; married, 11 March 1868, at Big Rapids, Mich., Emeline Frances Klipphart, a teacher, dau. of Franklin and Nancy (Cain) Klipphart, deceased. She was born at Urbana, Ohio, 12 Ap. 1846; died, without children, 13 Feb. 1869, of pulmonary consumption, at Big Rapids; and was buried there. He died of consumption, 20 Aug. 1875, at the house of his brother's widow, Mrs. Lovina (Crosby) Blanchard, at Waterloo, Wis.; and was buried there, in the cemetery near the Crosby school-house. He served for three years in the 18th Reg., Wis. Vols., in the war of 1861.
2330 IX. Thomas Boyd Whitney, b. in Antwerp, N. Y., 30 Oct. 1843; died of consumption, 26 Nov. 1851, at Philadelphia, N. Y.; and was buried there, in the Friends' Cemetery.

2331 I. Polly Whitney, twin, b. at Presque Isle, now Erie, Penn., 29 Aug. 1804; married in 1825, at her father's house in Paris, now Kirkland, N. Y., by Rev. John J. Sterns, Baptist, of Marshall, N. Y., to William Grumman Young, a carpenter and builder, born at Deerpark, now Mount Hope, N. Y., 1 May 1802, son of Shaw and Hannah (Grumman) Young.2 They settled, in 1827, at Paris, now Marshall; and, in 1831, returned to Kirkland, choosing a site on the west side of the street, opposite the homestead of her father and grandfather, where they still lived in 1874. He has been a justice of the peace in Kirkland. 7008
