5973 II. Elizabeth Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 13 Oct. 1839; died there 29 Dec. 1839, and was buried in the old Stratfield burying-ground.
5974 III. George Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 29 May 1841; died there 28 Aug. 1842, and was buried in the old Stratfield burying-ground.
5975 IV. Sarah Emily Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 7 Ap. 1843; married at Bridgeport, Conn., 9 Ap. 1867, Elon Francis Brown, a teacher, born at Wolcott, N.Y., 4 Aug. 1839, son of Dr. James Brown. They settled at Manchester, N.Y., where he had the charge of the Manchester Business College. He was a captain in the 45th Reg., U. S. Colored Troops.
5976 V. Henry Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 10 Dec.! 844; was first-lieut. in the 45th Reg., U.S. Colored Troops; and was mustered out, 4 Nov. 1865, at Philadelphia, Penn.
5977 VI. Bennet Curtis Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 20 Oct. 1846; lived at 48 Church Street, New Brunswick, N.J., in Feb. 1874.
5978 VII. Jane Elizabeth Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 20 Sept. 1848.
5979 VIII. Georgiana Satilla Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 31 Dec. 1850.

5983 II. George Oliver Whitney, b. at Fairfield, Conn., 26 Sept. 1844; graduated at Madison University, Hamilton, N.Y., in 1869; was ordained, and settled at Tarrytown, N.Y., as pastor of the Baptist Church; and died there, 18 Dec. 1872, unmarried.
