Jesse Coolidge9 Whitney (Asa8, Jonathan7, Jonathan6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Asa8 and Rhoda (Blaisdell) Whitney, was born 6 May 1841, Jay, ME, and died 27 Jan 1914, Auburn, ME, aged 71 years 6 months 20 days, of uremic poisoning.

He married, 6 May 1868, Lowell, MA, Paulina Guild Farmer, of Lewiston, ME, daughter of Isaac and Abigail (Hathaway) Farmer. She was born 27 Jan 1844, Temple, ME, and died 8 Jul 1921, Auburn, ME.

Private in Co. H, 14th Maine Infantry, in the Civil War. His widow, Pauline G. Whitney, received a Civil War widow's pension.

He resided Lewiston, ME, Chicago, IL, and Marshalltown, IA.

i. Ella Estella10 Whitney, b. 2 Sep 1872, Auburn, ME; d. 1946, Auburn, ME; m.(1) 4 Dec 1893, Lemuel David Bryant; apparently divorced; m.(2) between 1900 and 1903, Frank Brown.
