Winfield Scott9 Whitney (William W.8, Moses7, Moses6, Ephraim5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of William W.8 and Catherine S. (Robbins) Whitney, was born about 1850, Berlin, NH, and died after 1880.

He married firstly, 23 Sep 1871, Winterport, ME, Emily S. Mills,[1] daughter of George V. and Dorothy (Farnham) Mills. She was born 13 Sep 1846, Brooksville, ME, and died 8 Aug 1876, probably Winterport, ME. She was buried in Mount Rest Cemetery, Hancock County, ME.[2]

He married secondly, 19 Aug 1878, Winterport, ME, Lizzie M. Nason.[3] She was born about 1852, ME, and died after 1880.
