Joseph6 Whitney (Samuel5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Samuel5, was born 19 Sep 1771, and died 24 Jun 1812, Boston, MA.

He married firstly, 24 Sep 1793, Boston, MA, Sally Collins.[1] She was born 1773, and died 22 Sep 1799, Newburyport, MA, of yellow fever.

He married secondly, 18 Oct 1803, Boston, MA, Catherine Smith.Template:Ewd She was born -----, and died 20 Jun 1809.

He married thirdly, Mrs. Catherine Whitney. She was born 1774, and died 27 May 1836.

He is buried in the Granary burial ground. He resided Boston, MA.

Children of Joseph6 and Sally (Collins) Whitney:

i. Joseph7 Whitney, b. 11 Jun 1796; m. Elizabeth Pratt.

Joseph6 and Catherine (Smith) Whitney had no known children.
