Joseph6 Whitney (Samuel5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Samuel5, was born 19 Sep 1771, Concord, MA,[1] and died 24 Jun 1812, Boston, MA.

He married firstly, 24 Sep 1793, Boston, MA, Sally Collins.[2] She was born 1773, and died 22 Sep 1799, Newburyport, MA, aged 24 years,[3] of yellow fever.

He married secondly, 18 Oct 1803, Boston, MA, Catherine Smith.[4] She was born -----, and died 20 Jun 1809.

He married thirdly, before 1811, Mrs. Catherine (Hunt) Whitney. She may be the Catherine Hunt, daughter of Samuel and Submit (Graves) Hunt who was born 20 May 1772, Sudbury, MA. She was born about 1774, and died 27 May 1836, Cambridge, MA, aged 62 years, of consumption, and was buried May 29, 1836, Cambridge, MA.[5] She had married firstly Amos6 Whitney, q.v.

He is buried in the Granary burial ground. He resided Boston, MA.

Children of Joseph6 and Sally (Collins) Whitney:

i. Joseph7 Whitney, b. 11 Jun 1796, Newburyport, MA;[6] m. Elizabeth Pratt.

Joseph6 and Catherine (Smith) Whitney had no known children.

Joseph6 and Mrs. Catherine (Hunt)(Whitney) Whitney had no known children.
