David Harvey Whitney (David, [poss.] Jonathan⁶, Nathan⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazar³, Thomas², John¹), son of David and Martha Mathews (Safford) Whitney, was born Jul 1830, Randolph, VT, and died 20 May 1902, Northfield, VT.

He married, 25 Dec 1851, Northfield, VT, Fidelia A. Thresher,^[1] dau. of Stephen and Sally (Smith) Thresher. She was born Jul 1827, Brookield, VT, and died 15 May 1907, Northfield, VT.

He was a cheesemaker.

iv.	Ella F. Whitney, or "Ellen", b. Jul 1860, or "Ellen", b. Jun 1860, Granville, VT;[3] m. 26 Mar 1879, Topsham, VT, Frank W. Lewis,[4] b. 21 Oct 1852, son of Albert R. and Emily (Holt) Lewis. Children: Bessie Ethel Lewis (b. 1 Jul 1880, Stockbridge, VT); Lula M Lewis (b. 24 Mar 1882, Stowe, VT); Annie Louise Lewis (May 1890, VT).
