Henry Harrison⁸ Whitney (Abial⁷, Timothy Holt⁶, Richard⁵, Israel⁴, Ebenezer³, Richard², John¹), son of Abial⁷ and Hannah Whitney (Harwood) Whitney, was born about Sep 1838, VT, and died 8 Mar 1868, Athens, VT, aged 29 years 6 months. He was buried in Athens Valley Cemetery, Athens, VT.^[1]

He married, 7 Nov 1861, Athens, VT, Harriet Lucy "Hattie" Ball, daughter of Dustin C. and Lucy Ann (Perham) Ball.^[2] She was born 1 Oct 1841, VT, and died 5 Feb 1915. She was buried in Athens Valley Cemetery, Athens, VT.^[3] She married secondly, 16 Nov 1869, Putney, VT, Ransom Davis.^[4]
