Intentions of marriage were published 5 Dec 1807, Watertown, MA, for him and his first wife Sally Bernard.[5] He married firstly, 12 Jan 1808, Watertown, MA, Sally Barnard,[6] daughter of James and Sarah (Fuller) Barnard.[7] She was born 31 May 1789, Watertown, MA,[8] and died before 14 Feb 1817, Watertown, MA.[9]
Intentions of marriage were published 29 Apr 1815, Watertown, MA, for him and his second wife Sally Mills.[10] He married secondly, 8 Jun 1815, Needham, MA, Sally Mills,[11] daughter of Hezekiah and Elizabeth (Parker) Mills.[12] She was born 23 Oct 1784, Needham, MA,[13], and died 27 Jan 1871, Marlborough, MA, aged 87 years.[14]
On 30 Nov 1801, Watertown, MA, Israel Whitney and Dorothy Whitney, minors over 14, chose Nathaniel R. Whitney as guardian.[15]
On 19 Feb 1814, Sally, wife of Israel Whitney, was admitted to full communion, Watertown, MA.[16]
