Raymond Melvin Whitney (Hugh Monticello⁹, Melvin⁸, Erastus⁷, Ezra⁶, Ezra⁵, John⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹, Thomas^A), son of Hugh Monticello⁹ and Mathilda Caroline (Heberlein) Whitney, was born 19 Mar 1884, Burlington, Coffey County, Kansas, and died 4 Apr 1974, Webster Groves, St. Louis County, Missouri.

He married 4 Jun 1914, Anita Elizabeth Hildenbrand. She was born 25 May 1893, and died 3 Oct 1954, Webster Groves, St. Louis County, Missouri.

Children of Raymond Melvin and Anita Elizabeth (Hildenbrand) Whitney:

i.	Raymond Lloyd Whitney, b. 19 May 1915, St. Louis, Missouri, d. 10 Jan 1990. He married and had three children.
ii.	Jean Anne Whitney, b. 31 Aug 1920, St. Louis, Missouri, d. 19 Apr 1996. She married and had three children.
