He married Isabel R. Powers, daughter of Joseph W. and Caroline (-----) Powers. She was born about 1851, ME, and died after 1880.
On 6 May 1876 was recorded Benjamin M. Whitney’s certified mark for sheep: swallow tail in the under part of the right ear.[2]
