John S.⁸ Whitney (Ezra⁷, John⁶, James⁵, James⁴, John³, Jonathan², John¹), born Eastport, Maine, 4 Aug 1819; married 6 Jun 1850, Mary E. Gellusseora at Therville Parish, Louisiana, born 23 Feb 1827. He has been postmast for about 25 years; resided Orange Lake, Florida.

ii.	Charles A. Whitney, born 15 Oct 1853; married Cora B. Harrington.

v.	Walker S. Whitney, born 11 Oct 1859; died 1 Jun 1881.
vi.	Augustus G. Whitney, born 15 Jun 1865; married Nora Hickson.
vii.	Walter S. Whitney, born 16 Apr 1867; unmarried.
