Ephraim A.⁸ Whitney (Silas⁷, Silas⁶, Daniel⁵, Richard⁴, Richard³, Richard², John¹), son of Silas⁷ and Abigail M. (Shedd) Whitney, was born ca. 31 Jul 1817, Boston, MA, and died 20 Aug 1899, Stoughton, MA, aged 82 years 21 days, of cytitis [sic: probably cystitis].^[1]

He married, Boston, Johanna A. Hook, daughter of Gilman and Clarina (-----) Hook. She was born ca. Oct 1824, Boston, MA, and died 28 Aug 1864, Milton, MA, aged 39 years 10 months, of phthisis.^[2]

He resided Boston and Stoughton, MA.
