Tabatha⁴ Whitney (Mark³, Benjamin², John¹), daughter of (Mark³ and Tabitha (Mellen) Whitney, was born 11 Mar 1737/8, Hopkinton, MA,^[1] and died 1 Jul 1828, Kelloggsville, NY, aged 86 years 3 months 21 days.^[2]

Marriage intentions were published 20 Mar 1769, Upton, MA, for her "of Natuck" and John Lasure.^[3] She "of Natick" married, 31 Aug 1769, Natick, MA, John Lessure "of Upton",^[4] son of Isaiah and Rachel (Allen) Lessure. He was born 8 May 1749, Uxbridge, MA, and died 12 Apr 1832, Kelloggsville, NY, "Elder", aged 82 years 10 months 23 days.

He was also known as John Lasure.

i.	Polly Lessure, b. circa 1770 (estimated based on marriage record); m. Sep 1789, Providence, RI, Daniel Brown.
ii.	Hannah Lessure, b. 1775, Upton, MA; m. ----- Harris.
