Sarah3 Whitney (John2, John1), daughter of John2 and Ruth (Reynolds) Whitney, was born 17 Mar 1653[/4], Watertown, MA[1] and died 8 Jul 1720, Watertown, MA[2].

Sarah married, as his first wife, 18 Oct 1681, Watertown, MA, Daniel Harrington,[3] son of Robert and Susanna (George) Harrington. born 1 Nov 1657, Watertown, MA.[4] He died on 19 Apr 1728, Watertown, MA.[5]

He married secondly, 25 Oct 1720, Watertown, MA, Elizabeth (Bridge) Garfield, daughter of Matthew and Anna (Danforth) Bridge, and widow of Capt. Benjamin Garfield.[6] She had been born 17 Aug 1659, Cambrdige, MA.[7]

He served as a soldier in King Philip's War, from Sudbury, MA, under Capt. Davenport, from 25 Nov to 3 Dec 1675.[8]

He was admitted freeman on 18 Apr 1690, Watertown, MA.[9]

On 27 Feb 1685, she was mentioned in the incomplete will of her father. On 12 Mar 1692/3, and again on 27 Apr 1695, he signed two agreements of the heirs of her father in the settling of his estate.[10]

He was selectman of Watertown, MA, in 1701, 1702, 1704-1706, 1709-1713, 1718, and 1729.[11]

vi. Sarah Harrington, b. 28 Oct 1693;[17] m.(1) Nathaniel Livermore; m.(2) John Cutting.
