"There is also a very small cemetery in Cavendish, Vermont called Twenty Mile Stream Cemetery. There were also some old headstone's of some Whitneys some of which I've been able to trace but 2 of which I can not. Oliver Whitney and Mehitabel Whitney. Since I saw that Mehitabel was a family name you had listed thought you might could help. The headstone says "Daughter of Oliver & Hannah Whitney died May 31, 1863 age 75 years." Then there is Oliver's headstone "Oliver Whitney died Dec 29 1812, Ae 69 year 8mo A Solider of the Revolution." and then Hannah's headstone "Hannah wife of Oliver died Nov 29 1841 ae 87". This cemetery is very old and very hard to get to it was on top of a hill, but very well kept." - Whitney-L Mailing List
