Mary4 Whitney (Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), daughter of Isaiah3 and Sarah (Woodward)(Eddy) Whitney, was baptized 4 May 1696.
Mary married, 21 Oct 1731, Lexington, MA, Benjamin Wellington,[1] son of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Sweetman) Wellington, as his third wife. He was born 21 Jun 1676, Watertown, MA, and died 15 Nov 1738, Lexington, MA, aged 63 years. He married firstly, 16 Jan 1698/9, Watertown, MA, or 18 Jan 1698/99, Lexington, MA, Lydia Brown. He married secondly, 25 Dec 1712, Lexington, MA, Elizabeth Phipps.
Pierce says the following:[2]
- MARY [WHITNEY], bap. May 4, 1696; m. Oct. 31, 1731, Benjamin, son of Benjamin and Elizabeth (SWEETMAN) WELLINGTON, who was born June 21, 1676, and d. Nov 15, 1738. Ch.: Mary, b. Oct. 20, 1732; d. Apr. 12, 1806; Oliver, b. 1735. Mary WELLINGTON, dau. of Benj. and Mary (WHITNEY) WELLINGTON; m. 1st. Jan. 10, 1751, to James LANE, of Bedford, son of James and Martha (MINOT) LANE. He was b. Mar. 4 (or 8), 1725 (or 6), and d. suddenly Jan. 4 (or 24), 1799. His widow m. 2nd. Capt. John MOORE, of Bedford, ....
