Lyman Hubbard8 Whitney (Solomon7, Nathaniel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Solomon7 and Lucy (Lyman) Whitney, was born 2 Jul 1814, Marlboro, VT,[1] and died 2 Feb 1883, Sunderland, MA, aged 68 years 6 months, of chronic diarrhea.[2] He was buried in Sadawga Cemetery, Whitingham, VT.[3]
He married firstly, 13 Jun 1839, Wilmington, VT, Emeline Lucinda Goodnow,[4] daughter of Major William and Sybil (Arms) Goodnow. She was born 17 Jan 1815, Whitingham, VT, and died 2 Feb 1866, Whitingham, VT, aged 50 years, of consumption.[5]
He married secondly, between 1866 and 1868, Adaline Theodocia (Smead) Hall, daughter of Isaac and Theodotia (Newton) Smead. She was born died 2 Aug 1868, Deerfield, MA. She was buried in North River Cemetery, Colrain, MA.[6] She had married firstly, 25 Nov 1846, Montague, MA, or Halifax, VT, Charles Loton Hall, son of Loton and Rhoda (-----) Hall, who was born about 1824, VT, and died 19 Jun 1860. He was buried in the Hatch Cemetery, Halifax, VT.[7]
He "of Sunderland" married thirdly, 16 Aug 1869, Sunderland, MA, or Northampton, MA, Delcena M. (Sanders) Sheldon "of Southampton", daughter of Lemuel and Sylvia or Liddy (Woodis) Sanders. She was born about 1822, Rutland, MA,[8] and died 18 Dec 1909, Southampton, MA, aged 88 years, of senile pneumonia.[9] She had married firstly, about 1847, Joseph Ebenezer Sheldon (1825-1857).
He resided Whitingham, VT.
