Levi⁶ Whitney ([prob.] Elijah⁵, Elijah⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹), probably son of Elijah⁵ and Lydia (McElwain) Whitney, was born 22 Apr 1795, Putney, VT, and died 12 Feb 1866, Williamstown, VT.

He married, 2 or 3 Jun 1823, Williamstown, VT, Nancy Martin,^[1] daughter of John and Nancy (Smith) Martin. She was born 1 Apr 1804, Williamstown, VT, and died 27 Feb 1882, Washington, VT.

iii.	Elizabeth Smith Whitney, b. 1 Oct 1834, Williamstown, VT; d. 15 May 1904, Washington, VT; m. 14 Oct 1856, Williamstown, VT, Enoch Burnham Martin, son of Minot Martin.[2]
iv.	Ralph Whitney, b. 10 Feb 1837, Williamstown, VT; d. 24 Jan 1909, Williamstown, VT; m. 3 Apr 1867, Warren, VT, Electa Fuller.
