Joseph Gilbert Whitney (Benjamin F., Samuel), son of Benjamin F. and Maria Kemball (Edwards) Whitney, was born 25 Dec 1835, Lewiston, IL, or Mantua, OH, and died 14 or 23 May 1914, Syracuse, KS. He was buried in McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, KS.[1]

He married, 22 Feb 1857, Cambridge, IL, Matilda Adelia Morris.[2] She was born 1839, NY, and died 1911. He was buried in McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, KS.[3]
