Joseph7 Whitney (Joshua6, Caleb5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Joshua6 and Vashti (Knight) Whitney, was born 24 Mar 1792, Gardner, MA,[1] and died 6 Feb 1861, Gardner, MA, aged 68 years 10 months 13 days, of erysipelas.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 3 Jun 1813, Gardner, MA, for him "2d" and Nancy Sawen "of Westminster".[3] He "of Gardner" married, 6 Jul 1813, Westminster, Nancy Sawin,[4] daughter of Joseph and Mary (-----) Sawin. She was born 24 May 1792, Westminster, and died 21 Aug 1864, Gardner, MA, aged 72 years 2 months 27 days, of fever.[5]
