Jump to navigationJump to searchJohn Whitney (Joshua), son of Joshua and Sarah (-----) Whitney, was born 20 Sep 1784, prob. Wendell, NH, and died 1 May 1858, Stockbridge, MI.[1]
That he married is inferred from the fact that he had a son Joshua. Nothing is know of his marriage or wife.
He probably lived with his family who moved from Wendell, NH, to Bridgewater, VT, in 1800. His subsequent history is a mystery until his burial in Stockbridge, MI.
Children of John and ----- (-----) Whitney, possibly incomplete:
i. Joshua Whitney, b. 25 Dec 1812, VT; m.(1) Eliza Marie Bowdish; m.(2) Mary E. -----; m.(3) Lucy S. Ackley.
