John5 Whitney (James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Dea. James4 and Martha (Rice) Whitney,[1] born 10 Apr 1716, Framingham, Massachusetts,[2] and died between 31 Oct 1741 and 7 Dec 1741, Framingham, Massachusetts.[3]
He "of Framingham" married 8 Feb 1738/9, Sherborn, Massachusetts, Abigail Perry,[4] daughter of Nathaniel and Abigail (Adams) Perry.[5] She was born 5 May 1715, Sherborn, Massachusetts,[6] and died 8 Nov 1756, Mendon, Massachusetts.[7] She married secondly, 29 Mar 1743, Framingham, Massachusetts, Ebenezer Chapin (1714-1805) "of Mendon" as his first wife.[8]
He left a will dated 31 Oct 1741: John Whitney of Framingham; wife Abigail, all moveable estate except wearing apparel, Cart and Wheles; brother James, Cart & Wheles; brethren James, Micah, Benajmin, Ezra, and Daniel, wearing apparel; wife Abigail, executrix; witnesses Edward Learned and Wm. Greenwood. On 7 Dec 1741 at Framingham, Massachusetts, his will was proved. On 7 Dec 1741 at Framingham, Massachusetts, widow Abigail Whitney of Framingham posted executrix's bond, with Edward Learned, husbandman, and William Greenwood, weaver, both of Sherborn, as sureties.[9]
John5 and Abigail (Perry) Whitney had no children:
