Family:Whitney, Henry (1808-1892)

Henry⁷ Whitney (Abel⁶, Benjamin⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Abel⁶ and Phebe (Scott) Whitney, was born 3 Apr 1808, Tunbridge, VT, and died 14 Sep 1892, Tunbridge, VT. He is buried in South Royalton Village Cemetery, South Royalton, VT.^[1]

He married, about 1834, Fanny Bannister, daughter of Eli and Lucy (Severance) Bannister. She was born 8 Dec 1814, Randolph, VT, and died 6 May 1899. She is buried in South Royalton Village Cemetery, South Royalton, VT.^[2]

In 1895, his widow resided South Royalton, VT, and his son, Horace L., resided 9 Pelham St., Boston, MA.^[3]

iv.	Lucina R. Whitney, b. Dec 1840, VT; d. 7 Nov 1916; m. 9 Nov 1862, Bethel, VT, Stillman Gilpatrick, b. Apr 1840, West Hollis, ME, d. 11 May 1909, Groton, MA, son of Tristan and Betsy (Googins) Gilpatrick.[5] Children: Estella Maud Gilpatrick, b. 2 Mar 1867, Cambridge, MA, m. 3 Dec 1890, Ayer, MA, Charles Quincy Eldredge, b. ca. 1845, son of Christopher and Nancy (-----) Eldredge; Sidney Gilpatrick, b. Oct 1871, RI. He served in Co. C, 53 Regt. Mass. Infantry.
