Family:Whitney, Hannah (1697-b1753)

Hannah⁴ Whitney (John³, Jonathan², John¹), daughter of John³ and Mary (Hapgood) Whitney, was born 27 Sep 1697, Sherborn, MA,^[1] and died before 1753.^[2]

Hannah married, between 23 Jan 1722/3, Watertown or Framingham, MA, Ezekiel Rice, son of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Rice. He was born 14 Oct 1700, Sudbury, MA. He married secondly, 10 May 1753, Framingham, MA, Prudence Pratt, daughter of Joseph and Hannah (Provender) Pratt, third husband. Marriage intentions for him and his third wife Margaret ----- were published on 25 Nov 1769, Natick, MA, as her second husband. He married fourthly, 8 Jan 1772, Framingham or Sherborn, MA, Ruth Chapin "of Sherborn".

Pierce says the following:^[3]

HANNAH [WHITNEY], b. Sept. 27, 1697; m. Jan. 23, 1722, Ezekiel RICE, b. Oct. 14, 1700. She d. bef. 1753. Res. Natick and Sherborn.

Ch.: Ezekiel, b. Oct. 29, 1723; m. Hannah EDMANDS; John, b. Apr. 9, 1725; Apr. 25 to Nov. 6, 1757, in SMITH's company - marked "Deceased"; James, b. July 13, 1726; m. Mary STEARNS; Han- nah, b. Oct. 15, 1727; m. Thos. KENDALL; Daniel, b. Aug. 10, 1729; d. unm.; Richard, b. Oct. 20, 1730; m. Jan. 16, 1755, Sarah Drury. She was b. Dec. 8, 1734. He d. Natick, Jan. 24, 1793, and she went to Union, Me.; Martha, b. Aug. 8, 1732; Uriah, b. -----; m. Rachel -----; Moses, b.-----; m. Mary SPARHAWK.
