George H. Whitney (George W. H., Samuel) son of George W. H. and Mary Jane (Carr) Whitney, was born 23 Nov 1873, Springfield or Chicopee, MA,[1] and died 1 Sep 1937.
He married, 9 Sep 1895, Springfield, MA, or 14 Jun 1895, West Boylston, MA, Ellen T. Reynolds, daughter of John and Margaret (Heffinan) Reynolds. [2] She was born about 1876, Charlton, MA, and died after 1930.
Children of George H. and Ellen T. (Reynolds) Whitney:
i. Blanche V. Whitney, b. 13 Jan 1897, Charlton, MA [given name omitted];[3] probably the same as Blanche N. Whitney who appears in the family in the 1900 census, born May 1896. ii. Ruth Whitney, b. 4 Jun 1897, Charlton, MAl[4] d. bef. 1900. iii. Irene Whitney, b. 31 Jul 1898, Charlton, MA;[5] d. 26 Oct 1898, Charlton, MA, aged 2 months, of gastroenteritis.[6] iv. (daughter) Whitney, b. 18 Nov 1899, Charlton, MA [given name omitted];[7] probably the same as Leroy Whitney who appears in the family in the 1900 census, born Nov 1899. v. Earl Raymond Whitney, b. 5 Feb 1903, Charlton, MA.[8]
