Family:Whitney, Francis M. (1830-1902)

Francis M.⁷ Whitney (William⁶, Stephen⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of William⁶ and Mary Ann (Mayberry) Whitney, was born about 1 Jun 1830, Otisfield, ME, and died 14 May 1902, Concord, VT, aged 72 years 11 months 15 days.

He married 27 Dec 1859, Brunswick, VT, Hannah Crocker Barnett, daughter of John and Elizabeth W. (Dowse) Barnett. She was born 1 Oct 1837, Columbia, NH, and died 20 Oct 1918, South Paris, ME.

Francis was a farmer and a teamster. He served in the Civil War in Co. E, 3rd Vermont Infantry.

Francis and Hannah are buried in the Concord Village Cemetery, Concord, VT.
