Elnathan4 Whitney (Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Eleazer3 and Dorothy (Ross) Whitney, was born 5 May 1705, Watertown, MA,[1] and died 18 Apr 1759, Watertown, MA.[2]
He married, 24 Sep 1729, Roxbury, MA, Sarah Perry,[3] daughter of John and Sarah (Price) Perry. She was born 16 Nov 1701, Watertown, MA, ande died 22 Oct 1756, Waltham, MA, aged 54 years.[4]
On 3 Dec 1727, Watertown, MA, Elnathan Whitney, was admitted to full communion.[5]
On 14 May 1759 at Waltham, MA; John Whitney, cordwainer, of Waltham, with Jonas Dix, yeoman, and Jonas Smith, Jr., yeoman, both of Waltham, sureties, was appointed administrator of the estate of his father Elnathan Whitney, late of Waltham, decd. On 28 May 1759, Waltham, MA, the inventory of his real estate and distribution were made by Jonas Smith, Daniel Child, and Jonas Dix, who determined that all was to be settled on the oldest son, John Whitney. On 27 Aug 1759, Waltham, MA, his inventory was exhibited. On 24 Apr 1760, Waltham, MA, an administration account was acknowledged in Roxbury by Ebenezer Whitney, brother of the administrator. On 28 Apr 1760, Waltham, MA, his estate was settled on John Whitney, eldest son, and payments to be made to brothers and sisters Aaron, Ebenezer, Elnathan, and Sarah Whitney.
