Edwin8 Whitney (Nathan7, Salmon6, Jonas5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Nathan7 and Nancy (Farwell) Whitney, born 22 Aug 1826, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 21 May 1900, Holyoke, MA, aged 73 years, of chronic nephritis.[2]
He married, 19 Jun 1850, Chicopee, MA, Rhoda M. Wait, daughter of Silas and Betsey E. (Ames) Wait. She was born about 1828, Potsdam or Canton, NY,[3] and died 22 Jun 1883, Holyoke, MA.
He resided Holyoke, MA.

Rose P. Whitney, b. 3 Aug 1867, Holyoke, MA;[10] d. aft. 1900, then unmarried. vi. Harvey H. Whitney, b. 13 Jan 1871, Holyoke, MA;[11] d. aft. 1900; m. 6 Sep 1898, Wellesley, MA, Carolyn F. Benner, b. ca. 1875, Springfield, MA, dau. of Edward A. and Mary (Burns or Carter) Benner.[12] His wife was not living with him in 1900.
