Dennis Whitney (Francis, Ransford, Samuel), son of Francis and Mary (Flagg) Whitney, was born 11 Aug 1857, Millbury, MA, and died 5 Apr 1922, Manchester, NH.^[1] He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Manchester, NH.

He married, about 1885, Margaret (Murphy) Cahill, daughter of Patrick and Ann (Fitzgerald) Murphy. She was born Aug 1856, RI, and died 21 Oct 1927, Providence, RI, of a cerebral hemorrhage.^[2] She was buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag, RI. She had married firstly, 1 Jun 1874, Pascoag, Burrillville, RI, Patrick Cahill.

Dennis and Margaret (Murphy)(Cahill) Whitney had no children.
