Benjamin B.7 Whitney ([prob.] Charles6, John5, (poss.) Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), probably son of Charles6 and Rachel (Pattee) Whitney, was born about 1810, and died 8 Jun 1841, aged 31 years. He was buried in Sayward Cemetery, Thorndike, ME.[1]
He married firstly, 29 Apr 1837, Freedom, ME, "Miss" Susan Moulton "of Thorndike",[2] daughter of Josiah and Nancy (Dearborn) Moulton. She was born 31 Mar 1820, Thorndike, ME, and died 19 Aug 1839, Thorndike, ME, aged 19 years. She was buried at Thorndike Center Cemetery, Thorndike, ME.[3]
"Mr." "of Unity" married secondly, 11 Jun 1840, Freedom, ME, or 25 Jun 1840, Unity, ME, "Miss" Mercy Abbott "of Freedom",[4] daughter of Reuben, Jr., and Thankful (Glidden) Abbott. She was born 4 Apr 1817, Freedom, ME, and died 29 Apr 1890, Brooks, ME, aged 72 years.[5] She "Mrs." "of Freedom" married secondly (int. 9 July 1854, Knox, ME[6]) 9 Jul 1854, Freedom, ME, "Mr." Joseph Stantial "of Knox",[7] as his second wife, b. 1 Oct 1813, Hallowell, ME, d. 25 Aug 1859, Brooks, ME, aged 44 years 10 months.[8]
Benjamin B.7 and Susan (Moulton) Whitney had no known children, although there was a female 0-4 in his household in 1840.
