Thomas Howard Whitney (Howard Erwin, John Howard, John Leroy, Jacob M., James), son of Howard Erwin and Lydia Elizabeth (Rogers) Whitney, was born 29 Oct 1932, Lancaster, PA (adopted as a newborn), and died 2 Aug 2009, Reseda, CA.

He married Alice Freeman. She was born Franklin, Delaware Co., NY, and died 2010, prob. Delaware Co., NY.

THOMAS H. WHITNEY
RESEDA, Calif. - Former Franklin resident Thomas Howard Whitney died Aug. 2, 2009, in Reseda, Calif.

He was the son of Howard and Elizabeth Whitney, and the grandson of John and Bertha (Wheat) Whitney of Albany.

Born Oct. 29, 1932, in Lancaster, Pa., he spent his early years in Lancaster and Montrose, Pa., before settling in Franklin.

He enlisted in the United States Navy and served for 30 years. Following retirement in 1981, he lived in Galveston, Texas, before relocating to California.
