p. 111, #1405: Solomon⁶ WHITNEY was born either 1 or 11 Mar 1766, Salisbury, CT, according to the Barbour Collection of Connecticut, Vital records.

p. 111, #538: Elizabeth BOARDMAN was born 10 Nov 1725, Litchfield, CT (not Sheffield, MA), daughter of Joshua and Sarah (STOCKWELL) BOARDMAN, according to the Barbour Collection of Connecticut, Vital records.

p. 111, #1410: There was apparently another child in this family, Thomas⁶ WHITNEY, according to Whitney Genealogy of the Brothers, Judge Joshua and Gen. William Whitney of Binghamton, N.Y. There it says that he "went to Norwalk and d. there about 1800". It seems likely that he was the Thomas WHITNEY who, with wife Abigail, had a daughter Abigail baptized 25 Dec 1774, Nobletown, NY, where his brothers lived.

p. 111, #540: Change the line of descent, replacing "William" with "David".

p. 111, #1411: There were several additional children in this family, according to a daybook kept by Joshua⁵ WHITNEY in the possession of a descendant. The correct list of children should be:

i.	Mary6 or Polly, b. 22 Oct 1786, Crown Point, NY, m. Norman COLBURN (#1514 on page 116).
ii.	Return Josiah, b. 25 May 1788.
iii.	Amy, b. 18 Aug 1791 (#1515 on page 116).
iv.	Joshua Blodget, b. 7 Sep 1793, Crown Point, NY, d. 25 Jul 1794.
v.	William Miller, b. 24 May 1795, Addison Co., VT, m. Martha Ann PERLEE (#1411 on page 111).
vi.	Joshua, b. 26 Feb 1797, Addison, VT (#1518 on page 116), m. Susannah HINDS (see #585 on page 116).
vii.	Huldah, b. 4 Oct 1800 (#1517 on page 116).
viii.	Nancy, b. 4 Feb 1804, m. Elisha FERGUSON (#1516 on page 116).
ix.	George, b. 19 Jun 1806.

p. 111, #541: Change the line of descent, replacing "William" with "Cornelius". I don't have convincing proof of this, but it seems very likely, based on what we know of the families of the three first cousins Joshua⁴ WHITNEY (#176 on page 58, #184 on page 59, and #189 on page 59).

p. 111, #543: Elijah⁵ WHITNEY was born 10 Sep 1750, Lebanon (not Canaan), CT, according to the Barbour Collection of Connecticut, Vital records.

p. 111, #544: John⁵ WHITNEY was born 3 Feb 1754, Lebanon, CT, according to the Barbour Collections of Connecticut, Vital records.

p. 111, #544: John⁵ WHITNEY married, 17 Feb 1777, Canaan, CT, Hannah BELDEN, according to Early Connecticut Marriages.

p. 111, #547: Lebbeus⁵ WHITNEY was born 21 (not 25) Aug 1745, Norwich, CT, according to Norwich vital records.

p. 111, #547: Lebbeus⁵ WHITNEY married, 14 Oct 1773, St. Philip, Charleston, SC, Mary Ann HAM, according to the LDS International Genealogical Index.
