He has for some years occupied the position of master in chancery in Chicago of the Circuit Court of Cook County, by the appointment of the judges of that court." On the return voyage the ship was disabled in a gale by the springing of her rudder head. Put into Cape Town, Africa, for repairs, and returned home in 1880.
