- Thomas Cheever, minister at wide intervals at Malden and Rumney Marsh (that part of Chelsea now Revere) was the son of Ezekiel Cheever, the famous master of Boston Latin, by his second wife Ellen Lothrop. [snip]
- The marriage records here transcribed are from a notebook kept by Cheever, now in the possession of Professor Winslow Ames of Saunderstown, Rhode Island, having descended from him from his grandfather, Dr. Azel Ames (M.D., Harvard 1871), a practicing physician in the neighborhood of Revere and also an amateur genealogist.
