Clark, Mrs. Richard G., "Cemetery Inscriptions from Hubbardton, Vt.," NEHGR, Volume CXXII (1968), pp. 108-113.
[p. 108]
- This cemetery is west from the hill where the Hubbardton Battle monument stands. On the whole the cemetery is quite well kept, although a number of stones have fallen and some are broken. In the following inscriptions the condition, if other than standing, is noted in editorial brackets thus: [fallen], [broken], [illegible], etc. In the "addenda" are fourteen additional inscriptions found in the card file of the "1920 Survey" in the Town Clerk's office. Apparently the gravestones from which the inscriptions were copied at that time have disappeared in the intervening years; at least they were not there when the following inscriptions were copied in 1965. All inscriptions have been checked with the cards.
