- 10. Lt. Samuel5 Whittemore (Samuel4, Samuel3, Samuel2, Thomas1), victualler, gentleman, born in West Cambridge Arlington), Mass., 6 May 1748, died there 6 Nov. 1822, aged 74. He married, first, there, 20 March 1770, Elizabeth Wilson, born there in 1747, died in Salem, Mass., 23 Oct. 1799, aged 52 (gravestone), daughter of John and Martha (Russell) Wilson (Middlesex Probate #25150); and secondly, in atertown, Mass., 2 Nov. 1800, Lucy (Whitney) Dana, born there 30 June 1749, died in West Cambridge 4 Dec 1814, aged 66 (gravestone), daughter of Daniel and Dorothy (----) Whitney and widow of Benjamin Dana. A Revolutionary soldier (Mass. Soldiers and Sailers in the Rev. War, vol. 16, p. 1036, and vol. 17, pp. 155, 269).

- Mrs. Edwin Child Miller (Ida Louise Farr), who was elected a resident (annual) member of the Society 2 Feb 1898, was born in Littleton, N. H., 26 April 1863, and died in West Newton, Mass., 3 Sept. 1953.
She was one of the first thirty-six women to become members of the Society. They were elected 2 Feb. 1898, in consequent of an act of the General Court approved 10 April 1897. [snip]
- She married, 30 Jan. 1884, Edwin Child Miller, a piano manufacturer. The children were: (a) Barbara, born 30 Aug. 1885, now Mrs. Charles C. Wicker of Philadelphia, Pa.; (b) Henry Franklin 2nd, born 18 Nov. 1887, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and (c) Edith, who married Ronald Cushing, died in 1942. A grandson, Charles C. Wicker, Jr., was killed in World War II while piloting a plane over Germany. Her grandsons, Henry F. Miller 3rd and Proctor Miller, served several years in the armed services overseas, 1942-1945.

H., married Rebecca -----; (5) Ebenezer, born 18 Aug. 1750, died in Littleton about 1825, married in 1777 Mary Titus, of Douglas, Mass.; (6) Noah, born 8 Dec. 1779, died in Littleton 2 April 1842, married in 1803 Lydia Cobleigh, daughter of John Cobleigh; (7) John, born 22 May 1810, died in Littleton 12 Oct. 1892, married first, Tryphenia Morse, born in Haverhill, Mass., 22 Oct. 1809, died in Littleton 27 April 1851; (8) Evarts Worcester, her father, born in Littleton 10 Oct. 1840, married Ellen Frances Burpee, born in New Hampton, N.H., 14 Nov. 1840, daughter of Augustus and Sarah Glines (Robinson) Burpee.

- Mrs. Fred Smith Weymouth (Grace Goodnow French), who was elected an annualmember of the Society 18 Aug. 1925, died at her home in Orange, Mass., 10 Nov. 1953.
- She was born in Orange 10 May 1872, a daughter of Stephen French, born in Dummerston, Vt., 2 June 1825, whose wife, Ann Ross Whitney, was born in Marlboro, Mass., 18 March 1830, daughter of Solomon Whitney and Sibyl Arms, widow of William Goodenow.
- She was educated in the Orange High School, graduating in the class of 1891. She was much interested in the work of the Daughters of the American Revolution, serving as Registrar of the Mount Grace Chapter, and as Curator of the Chapter's Historical Room.
- She married, 16 Sept. 1896, Fred Smith Weymouth, who was born in Brattleboro, Vt., 16 June 1872, a son of Henry Weymmouth, of Walpole, N. H., whose wife was Mary Emeline Hooper. The children were: (a) Burdette Earlton, Dartmouth, 1920, born 31 Jan. 1898; (b) Sibyl Fae, born 18 Oct. 1899, and (c) Douglas French, born 7 Sept. 1901.
- Her line of descent from her first American ancestor follows: (1) Lieut. William French; (2) Corp. John French, 1635-, and Mary Littlefield; (3) Sergt. William French and Mehitable Patten; (4) Nathaniel French, a soldier in the Revolution, and Elizabeth Frost; (5) Asa French, a soldier in the Revolution, and Mercy Rice; (6) Stephen French and Polly Pierce; and (7) Stephen French and Ann Ross Whitney.
- Her Whitney descent follows: (1) Thomas Whitney and Mary Bray; (2) John Whitney and Elinor; (3) John Whitney and Ruth Reynolds; (4) Nathaniel Whitney and Sarah Hagar; (5) Nathaniel Whitney and Mercy Robinson; (6) Samuel Whitney, a Revolutionary war soldier, and Elizabeth Hastings; (7) Nathaniel Whitney and Molly Houghton; and Solomon Whitney and Sybil (Arms) Goodnow.
- Mrs. Weymouth was descended from many other well-known New England settlers, among which may be mentioned, Dea. Edmund Rice, Christopher Avery, Gen. John Humphrey; Maj. Simon Willard, Job Hyde, Griffith Jones, and Edmund Frost.

- James Melville Hunnewell, who was elected a Life Member 1 May 1912 and transferred to Pilgrim Tercentenary Membership in 1919, died in Boston 22 March 1954.
- He was born in Charlestown, Mass., 22 May 1879, a son of James Frothingham Hunnewell, born in Charlestown 3 July 1832, died in Boston 11 Nov. 1910. His mother was Sarah Melville Farnsworth, born in Boston 3 Jan. 1851, died there 24 April 1917, a daughter of Ezra and Sarah Melville (Parker) Farnsworth. [snip] A memoir of James Frothingham Hunnewell is found in The Register, volume 65, page LXIII.
- His Farnsworth line of descent follows: (1) Matthias, born in 1612; married, perhaps secondly, Mary, daughter of George Farr of Lynn, Mass. He died 21 Jan 1688/9, and she died in 1717. (2) Benjamin, born about 1653 or perhaps better in 1667, died 15 Aug. 1733. He married, in 1695, Mary Prescott, born in Lancaster, Mass., 3 Feb. 1674, died 28 Oct. 1735, daughter of Jonas and Mary (Loker) Prescott. (3) Ezra, born 17 Jan. 1703; married, first, 25 April 1726, Elizabeth Lakin, born 23 Aug. 1705, a daughter of Joseph Lakin; and secondly, 29 Sept. 1733, Abigail Pierce, born 10 Nov. 1710, died 8 Jan. 1800, daughter of Ephraim and Mary (Whitney) Pierce. He was a Lieutenant in the militia, and died 10 June 1788. (4) Ezra, born in Groton, Mass., 21 Sept. 1744; married Betsey Sheple, born 5 Oct. 1746, died 5 Nov. 1819. He died 19 Mar 1798. (5) Abel, born 15 July 1773; died 11 April 1860; married 28 Dec. 1808 Polly Goodell, of Sutton, Mass. (6) Ezra, born 5 Jan. 1813; died 4 July 1890; married, first, 1 Oct. 1840, Sarah Melville Parker, daughter of Isaac Parker, a merchant of Boston. She died 28 June 1863, and he married, secondly, 30 March 1864, Mrs. Mary K. Taylor of Groton. (7) Sarah Melville, his mother, who married James Frothingham Hunnewell.
